Fun Facts

In a 2007 Canada-wide science fair, Kendra placed 3rd in Physics for her project “The Physics of Show Jumping.”

Kendra then received the Student Academic Promotion Award in 2008 for her Physics project and was invited to attend the Aachen School of Course Design in Aachen, Germany.

Kendra placed in the top 100 contestants in the 2007 season of Canadian Idol!

Work Experience: 

KLD Law - Owner / sole practitioner
Kendra launched KLD Law in 2021, offering services in both Ontario and Manitoba for wills and estates, and also provides legal services for Indigenous people and groups.

TD Insurance - Insurance Lawyer
In 2016 Kendra joined TD insurance as a defense counsel, and managed civil litigation and accident benefit files.

Ministry of Attorney General - Financial Services Commission of Ontario
In 2014 Kendra took up a position as a Summer Law student in their Legal branch, afterwards she became an Articling Student in 2015 until she was called to the Bar in 2016. During her time here she worked with the Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Fund (MVAC) and regulatory litigation including; judicial review, insurance regulation, and pensions.

During her time in university Kendra was self-employed providing freelance work for non-academic projects and tutoring for business writing and undergrad courses.

Teaching Assistant & Entrepreneurial Skills Program (ESP) Coordinator
While at Dalhousie, Kendra worked as a Teaching Assistant for professors where she worked as a liaison between students and professors in 10 different communications and entrepreneurship classes. She also organized the ESP Accreditations; an entrepreneurial accreditation program at Dalhousie.

Government of Canada - Co-op Student at Agri-Foods Canada & Canada Business
As a co-op student in 2009, Kendra had her formal introduction to operating websites and attending trade shows and conferences.

Kendra’s Equestrian Services - Owner
Between 2003-2009 Kendra owned and operated as Manager and Head coach of her own Equine services company where she provided lessons to her clients as well as managed the staff, the facilities, as well as many contracts and purchases.
